I had a great time staying at this lodge. The location was perfect and offered a stunning view. The cleaning staff were excellent and kept the units spotless. There were no bathroom mats on the floors and no space to keep toiletries in the bathroom. The room had a bad smell, possibly of urine, which made the stay unpleasant.

Our Christmas at this hotel was overall pleasant. We appreciated the nice location close to the beach and main attractions. the staff was friendly and approachable. We also loved the two complementary drinks that were given to us upon arrival which was a nice touch. the breakfast spread was decent and filling.

The air conditioning in our kids’ room was out of order and it got very stuffy at night. the property looked a little dated and could use some sprucing up.

The noise level at night can be disruptive, with staff members and guests being loud and inconsiderate.

The location was ideal for quick travel to Margate or Durban. The manager was helpful and considerate. The staff was friendly if you engage with them. The room was clean and had working appliances for self-catering. There were plenty of activities to do in the area, and it was on the quieter side of Durban.

Our stay during Thanksgiving was good but not excellent. We appreciated the complementary facts offered, including the two bottles of water and the coffee maker in the room. The location was also a positive aspect as it was only a short walk to the beach, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Moreover, the staff was friendly and welcoming.

We did not feel completely secure during our stay. The gate was consistently left open during the day, allowing anyone to access the property.

Great location near the beach and diving school. The friendly owner/ receptionist was very helpful. The pool was always clean and available for guests to use. Room 5 was beautiful and we appreciated the trust in not requiring a deposit.
